THE Namibian police in the Omusati Region have successfully recovered a stolen car and apprehended two suspects just a few hours after the crime took place.
The stolen vehicle, a silver Toyota Corolla (N13733W) valued at N$75 000, was taken from its owner, 63-year-old Matias Amupolo Kamanya, while it was parked in Oshuushu village, Ogongo Constituency, during the night of Sunday to Monday.
“The suspects drove the complainant’s car without the owner’s consent, taking it from where it was parked,” said the police.
The stolen vehicle has been recovered, and two suspects, aged 23 and 28, have been arrested. They are scheduled to appear in the Outapi Magistrate’s Court in the near future.
