A 62-year-old pensioner man was arrested for shooting a Duiker and monitor lizard worth N$23 400.
The incident occurred at farm 39 in Mangetti cattle Range, Kavango West.
NamPol spokesperson Inspector Raimbert Muronga said a case of possession of protected game meat (Duiker and Monitor lizard) has been opened against the suspect.
“It is alleged that the suspect shot the Duiker and monitor lizard with a shotgun without permission,” he said.
He added that the carcass of a Duiker 01 and Monitor Lizard was recovered and seized.
Police investigation into the matter continues.
