A man (82) died in a head-on collision while travelling near Oniipa in the Oshikoto region on Friday.
Oshikoto crime investigations coordinator deputy commissioner Titus Ekandjo says the incident happened on the B1 road at 14h00.
The deceased was identified as Eriki Lilwa from Onamulunga village.
“It is alleged that a small truck was travelling alongside the road from Ondangwa toward Onethindi before it . . . moved into the opposite lane of oncoming traffic, resulting in a head-on collision with a Land Cruiser,” Ekandjo says.
The passenger travelling in the Land Cruiser was declared dead on arrival at Onandjokwe State Hospital.
The driver of the small truck has been admitted to the same hospital.
Police investigations continue.
