Philippines asserts sovereignty over Second Thomas Shoal

The Philippines says it won’t abandon the disputed Second Thomas Shoal in the South China Sea after Beijing told it to remove a grounded warship from the area. Manila earlier accused China’s coast guard of using water cannons and dangerous moves to prevent it from sending supplies to troops there.
