Political parties sign code of conduct ahead of elections

Political parties signed a code of conduct at the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) in Windhoek on Friday.

ECN chairperson Elsie Nghikembua said the code will guide political and campaigning engagement.

She said only 11 political parties contesting in the upcoming elections have taken part in the dispatching of election materials to foreign missions set to vote on 13 November.

Currently, 21 political parties are registered to take part in the presidential and National Assembly elections on 27 November.

Ballot papers and other materials were dispatched to Angola on Friday, while other election materials have already been sent.
