Rossing Foundation donates library books

The Rossing Foundation donated more than 200 library books to Tutaleni High School in Walvis Bay.

Acting Chief Education Officer at Rossing Foundation, Florian Engombe, said the books will be distributed to identified schools across the country, with attention given to schools in remote areas in disadvantaged communities.

“We all know that libraries are a very important aspect of learning, so it’s through learning or reading that learners can improve the reading skills that they need for examination, but not only that, you read and get information and get informed; you get updated, and you become an informed citizen. So later in the future, they become productive citizens.”

He said libraries are resource centres that learners need to consolidate what they learn in school.
