Africa’s eminent art extravaganza announces its return to the Mother City as the Investec Cape Town Art Fair sets a date for its 11th edition.
Taking place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (ICC) from 16 to 18 February 2024, artists, enthusiasts, gallerists, arts journalists, collectors and curators from around the globe are encouraged to save the date for an art fair like no other.
An extensive event emanating from the ICC to the greater Cape Town, next year’s Investec Cape Town Art Fair’s theme is ‘Unbound’ and asks the question: What does it mean to be unbound? How can the experience of art liberate the mind?
Featuring over 100 exhibitors, over 20 000 visitors and 6 500 VIPs, the Investec Cape Town Art Fair will present familiar exhibits such as ‘Main’, ‘Tomorrows/Today’, ‘Solo’, ‘Alt’, ‘Connect’ and ‘Editions’ alongside a focus on ceramics, and a new section titled ‘Generations’.
Recent Namibian Investec Cape Town Art Fair exhibitors and performers include Tuli Mekondjo, Lynette Musukubili, Foibe Amundaba, Michelle Isaak, Rudolf Seibeb, Jo Rogge, Tangeni Kauzuu, as well as photographer Nicola Brandt, who presented ‘Fire | Physical Energy’ in collaboration with Guns & Rain at the fair in February.
If Cape Town is on your travel list for 2024, Investec Cape Town Art Fair season is a great time to go.
Expect a dynamic programme of art talks, networking opportunities, installations, guided tours, walkabouts and performances as one explores the offerings of some of the continent’s most exciting contemporary visual art talent and galleries alongside the many charms of summer in the Mother City.
