THE Namibian police has arrested suspects who allegedly robbed and assaulted a group of US tourists over the past weekend.
The suspects were arrested after being identified by the tourist who have decided to continue their travels in Namibia albeit the robbery and physical assault.
It is alleged that the four couples from the US, all aged above 60 were followed, and intercepted on the gravel road as they drove towards River Crossing Lodge.
One lady was knocked with a rock against the side of her left eye socket while another lady was cut with a knife on the arm and her husband injured on his hand.
The suspects took all the cash from the tourists which include Namibian as well as US dollars, a cellphone and one passport.
The tourist were however assisted with their US passports on Monday and will be traveling to their next destination in the country.
