UNKNOWN suspects have stolen items valued at nearly N$120,000 from a shebeen in Omutala village, Okatyali constituency of the Oshana Region, early Friday morning.
According to the police, three suspects broke into the sleeping room of the Zazi Bar’s female bartender while she was asleep at around 03:00. They attacked the 40-year-old victim, grabbed her by the neck and mouth, and threatened to kill her if she screamed.
It is alleged that the suspects tied and blindfolded the victim while demanding the keys to the shebeen.
After obtaining the keys, the suspects proceeded to the shebeen, where they stole a gambling machine, nine bottles of various alcohol brands, and a cash amount of N$1,400, resulting in a total loss of N$119,500.
The police reported that the suspects locked all the doors of the shebeen with the bartender inside before fleeing with the keys.
The victim was discovered by a passer-by at around 06:00.
No arrests or recoveries have been made yet.
