The journey back to the south has started

Staff Reporter

THOUSANDS of people who travelled to the North shortly before Christmas to spend the festive season with friends and relatives are on the road again, now travelling back to the south of the Red Line.

Long-distance buses are already quite busy, with many holidaymakers having decided to travel early, but the number of commuters is only expected to peak this coming weekend when the many buses won’t be enough for the thousands of travellers.

Like last year, Transnamib has decided to capitalize on the situation by sending a passenger train down to Ondangwa. People are already flocking to Ondangwa’s Nehale lyaMpingana Railway Station to buy tickets for the train that will depart to the south on 11 January.
