This year’s International Shore Angling Test Tournament will see over 140 anglers and their teams from Namibia and South Africa compete fiercely.

The tournament switches locations between South Africa and Namibia each year, and the previous edition was hosted in South Africa.

The three-day angling competition, started on Tuesday, will see six teams from Namibia and South Africa participating.

These teams will include grandmasters, masters, senior men, senior women, under 21, and under 16 participants, providing an exciting array of talent.

During last year’s competition, the Namibian teams showcased their exceptional skills and emerged victorious in multiple categories.

They secured the senior men’s team championship, as well as the grandmasters title, demonstrating their remarkable achievements.

The competition will take place south of Henties Bay, with a different designated area allocated for each day of the competition.

The teams are split into two sets of teams with the grandmasters, the ladies and under sixteen teams in one group, and the other group being the seniors, the masters and the under 21s.

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place in Henties Bay on Thursday evening.
