Gondwana Collection Namibia has recently unveiled the Reverie Kalahari Pod as part of its expanding Secret Collection.

It offers an unparalleled level of exclusivity and speaks directly to immersive and luxury travel, alongside popular offerings like the Desert Whisper, The Pearls Beach Pods, The Weinberg Urban Pod and Namushasha River Villa.

Much like the iconic Kalahari desert itself, the Reverie has a story to tell, one that nostalgically feels like time stands suspended in the stillness of red dunes.

Joining this collection is the Ekipa Etosha Pod, set to open in February next year.

An invitation to experience a world-class luxury facility and the beauty of one of Namibia’s oldest deserts, the pod is located just 30 kilometres northeast of Mariental on the C20 road.

Its architectural style is inspired by three ostrich eggs snuggled together – a modern homage to the Khoisan people who have historically used ostrich eggs to store water and make jewellery.

Every facet of the design honours the unique spirit of Namibia’s breathtaking scenery, while incorporating contemporary luxury.

The Reverie, a multisensory offering, is made up of three spacious dome-like buildings. With its open-plan design, the pod offers an en-suite bedroom flowing onto a balcony, a fully equipped kitchen, and a dining area that opens into an expansive outdoor space.

Here, guests can indulge in private barbecues, relax by a plunge pool overlooking a private waterhole or experience pure relaxation in a dune bath.

The fridge is stocked with a variety of fresh produce and other essentials to ensure a convenient and enjoyable stay.

Privacy and exclusivity are key at the Reverie.

While there is no on-site service personnel or chef, visitors may communicate with their host by radio if they have any requirements and a private chef can be hired to create a personalised supper. USB connections and free Wi-Fi provide modern comfort in a classic environment.
