Forty-six car guards in Swakopmund last week received new uniforms, courtesy of FNB Namibia. The initiative aims to enhance the visibility and professionalism of these essential workers.
The uniforms were handed over by the Chief of Traffic, Melvin Cloete, as part of the Municipality of Swakopmund’s efforts to recognize and support the important role played by car guards in the community
“All registered car guards will be dressed in these official uniforms. Any car guards wearing yellow, red, or orange reflectors have not been vetted or registered by us and should not be allowed to operate in and around the CBD,” they added.
The Municipality of Swakopmund is holding information sessions for current and prospective car guards at its chambers. These sessions are designed to provide valuable information and updates to the car guard community.
“We encourage car guards to attend this information session, as vital updates and information is shared,” they concluded.
