Learners who had the opportunity to visit the National Skills Competition, currently taking place in Ongwediva, are greatly impressed by the wide range of career opportunities available in the technical and vocational education and training sector.
The learners, hailing from various schools in the Oshana Region and accompanied by their teachers, had the chance to explore the skills competition area. During their visits, they were guided through the 14 skill trades, with relevant information and insights provided to them.
Some of the learners interviewed by nbc News expressed their newfound appreciation for the TVET sector and its extensive career prospects. As a result, they are now considering pursuing careers in this field.
