THE late President Hage Geingob continues to be described as a visionary, selfless leader, and advocate of change by many.

Thus, Martin-Olembe Antindi has called on the youth to emulate late President Geingob’s legacy of goodwill for a better Namibia.

Antindi spoke during a special memorial service held at Omuthiya in the Oshikoto Region on Wednesday, stating that Namibia has indeed lost a great giant.

“The young people of Oshikoto are still deeply shocked by the news following the passing of President Geingob. He will be remembered by many as a person who loved and cared forever and made sure that everyone feels part of the Namibian family,” he said.

He added that they continue to mourn the loss of an outstanding and decorated Namibian hero, a brave son of the soil. Hence, they call on the young people of Oshikoto and Namibia at large to emulate his wealthy personality and his visibly high moral and ethical principles.

Antindi indicated that President Geingob was indeed a friend of the young people, as demonstrated by his consideration in appointing young people to key positions.

Furthermore, Antindi said President Geingob was a man who believed in inclusivity, equal representation, and treatment for all.

He was an advocate of transparency, accountability, and good governance for a better Namibia.
